Hot Air Balloons over Napa

So my wife and I woke early, 4:30am early to drive ourselves from the friends home we were staying at in Oakland, CA to Napa Valley for our balloon ride early in the morning. The night before I thought it would be a great idea to bring the battery for my 7D in to charge. The early morning allowed that piece of information to leave my mind and we left for the 1.5 hour drive out to Napa. Now I know what your saying. I should have a backup battery. Problem is I have never had a problem remembering it, or ever running out of battery in a single photo session so there has never been a need. Needless to say I had my camera and my 24-70L but no battery.

So what did I do? I whipped out my iPhone and did the best that I could. Both my wife and I were taking video and photos from our iPhone 4's to capture this experience. Overall I was pretty impressed with the shots that came out of it.
